It is mid August and we are closer to being caught up. I know we have been very slow to deliver keys for about three months now. It is a result of the overwhelming response we saw leading up to and after Dayton. If you are waiting for a key, please bear with us for a few more weeks. We are almost caught up on orders over 30 days old. I will make a point to do another update at the end of August–I anticipate being current at that time. Thank you all for your patience–from all indications from our recent customers, you will not be disappointed. Curt
Our phone and voicemail is back on-line now. Thanks for your patience and sorry for any inconvenience our transfer has caused.
For the next week, we are transitioning our phone service to a different carrier. During this time, if you need to contact Vizkey, please use our email address: email@example.com as the quickest way to get a response. Thanks for your patience and this should be all resolved in approximately a week to ten days. Thanks, Curt
Happy 2016! We are finally, just about, caught up from the Holiday rush of orders. With 2 quarters, including the Holiday period now behind us, we are evaluating our batch cutting and manufacturing quantities so we can reduce the waiting time for new orders. I know it has been somewhat slow and we are working toward eventual delivery from stock or less than one week for all our products.
Feedback from our new customers has been overwhelmingly positive and we continue making small improvements in a Continuous Measurable Improvement process. In that vein, we have transitioned to a solid silver contact in all of our keys.
Thank You for your continued support.
The Vizkey Team (Laurie and Curt) wish each of you a safe and fulfilling Holiday Season. Thanks to all that have purchased a Vizkey product during our re-start–it has been a busy year so far. Due to demand and my continued (real) work schedule, keys continue to be built in batches to meet orders–at this time, we are nearly up-to-date on shipping.
If you will be placing an order for expected delivery before the end of the year, please do so as soon as possible to allow as much margin as possible in build-time and Holiday delivery issues.
We are working on some exciting things for the future and look forward to building you a key in the near future.
Happy Holidays from the Vizkey Team
Curt and Laurie
All orders placed through 9-23-15 have been shipped. The cootie manufacturing problem has been resolved and those should be back on orderable status before the end of the month.
Thanks to all for the great response to the return of VIZKEY!
We have been sending out the vertical bugs with the terminal posts mounted on the front of the key–this is similar to the position on the 90 degree bug. If you prefer to have the connection wires exit from the rear of the key, it is a simple matter to move the terminal posts to the back side. Be certain to retain the front and rear insulating shoulder washers for the “hot” terminal, and leave the connection solder terminal under the re-positioned post.
Note that the two posts are different lengths–the short post goes on the insulated nylon washer location. The long post goes directly onto the main base plate.
Upon turning the order capability on for the Camelbacks, we were immediately backlogged with orders. They are going out and we expect to be caught up with all of the orders to date by Sept 12th at the latest.
The set-up for producing the Camelback straight keys and the Cootie (Sideswiper) is moving right along now that the Vertical and 90 degree bugs are up and being delivered. It still is looking like we will be able to begin shipping these keys by mid-August at the latest.
Like the bugs, we are holding the 2014 pricing for these keys and the designs remain un-changed.
Delivery times on the bugs is variable from a couple of days to about a week depending upon when in the manufacturing cycle the order arrives. Soon we will have sufficient production to ship from stock.
This area will contain updates on status, delivery times, new products in the works, and just interesting tid-bits related to the VIZKEY line.
