Just when we were getting our delivery schedule under control, we had a machine breakdown. One of our primary mills ate a spindle bearing and subsequently damaged the main spindle. Because Holidays are full-time key building time for me, it effectively cost us a couple of weeks of time. We are back up and going as of Monday and will be delivering keys again by the end of this week.
We are aware of the fact that many newer rigs utilize a common jack for the straight key as well as a paddle for the built-in keyer. Until we get this option added to our cart, if you need a TRS cord set instead of the 2 pole set we normally send with all but our paddles, just drop us an email and we can make that change.
For a couple of weeks in October, we were having some issues with an online cart that would not cooperate. Our excellent IT provider found a problem with some Paypal upgrades that interfered with our processing and that has now been resolved.
I have been given a couple of friendly reminders recently that my blogging has not been updated in a long time. So, here goes: We have pretty much eliminated the very long waits for some of our orders that took place a year ago. For the last 6-9 months, our deliveries have ben in the 2-4 week range with an average of 3.4. This depends upon the timing of the order relative to the status of the current batch of keys in the works. THe summer was good here and we got caught up nearly 100%–and then after Labor Day, the Fall rush hit again! So, we are back to 3-4 and will work very hard to get all orders placed by December 1st delivered by year end. As always, if you need something special or want to ask a question, just drop us an email or give a call. 73 for now, CURT
