A pleasant surprise upon my return from my cabin in Washington: The VizVertical Bug was waiting for me between my storm door and the front door. It arrived in excellent shape and it wasn't long before I finished a few minor adjustments and made my first QSO with it. I had to switch the the finger pieces so that the triangular piece was on the right hand side of the lever and the circular piece on the left. I forgot to tell you that I was left handed, but used a right handed bug . The Vertical is a visual thing of beauty -- a real treasure! I have been using a bug for 62 years, and across the many bugs I have owned and still own, the VizKey produces the cleanest dots I have ever heard from a totally mechanical keying device. It is in a word, superb. The speed range is likewise excellent. In the past I have had a slow bug and a fast bug in parallel. When the VizKey Vertical is at it's slowest, it is slower and cleaner than any bug I've ever used. This should make it a natural for those wishing to learn to use a bug. When set at its fastest, it's a bit faster than I am able to send at age 75. At my usual operational speeds 20-35 wpm, it makes beautiful music. It is physically very stable in the upright position, even with a somewhat heavy hand (something I was worried about). The action is very smooth and easy, and I only made very small adjustments from the way you set it up. In all, the Vertical has exceeded my expectations in every way, and my Blue Racer and 1926 Champion are headed to the display case.

Got the key today, put it on the air right away.... Maybe 5 min practice first. What a beautiful piece of art.....!!! Works like a fine piece of machinery, Looks like a master works art sculpture. Made my fist sound like a long time pro. Unlike the new Vibroplexes I have bought, You took a few moments to set it up properly from the start. A simple matter, but one that shows you take pride in your finished product. Also, it is machined to fit like the parts on a watch, or fine gun, making sure each part actually fits, not just meets final specs, but actually fits the final product. Nice job, keep up the good work, If I was earning money like I was several years ago, I'd be buying more from you, as it is, I will wait, but like the guy who mentioned you on the air, N5DY, I too will be hearlding my praises of a great American product.

This key is a masterpiece of craftsmanship. It arrived with one of his business cards between the contacts--perfect spacing. Its appearance is beautiful. The machine finishing on the key is just the right touch-always looks new each time I use it. It is so smooth that I can send good code with complete control. It takes the same force every time to make contact with the key. It has boosted my speed by at least 3-5 wpm because of its smooth operation. It will keep the settings you set when you tighten the lock "nuts" down. I do not have to repeat the set up because it stays as you set it. I am a great believer in "Made in the USA." and it lives up to that standard exactly! I will probably never search for a key to replace it. I could sing its praises all night. Get one and you will have a "friend for life." It takes up so little space on my desk and yet performs excellently. I wish I could give it a 5+, it is so good.

The key arrived in perfect condition. I was thrilled to have #2 but not as thrilled as I am with the key itself. After a few minutes of adjusting it I fell in love with it. The Bencher RJ-1 went straight to the shelf besides the Vibroplex bug. This is a great key that just "feels" right! My buddy John that turned me on to your keys is waiting for his (#9) so I sent him a pic of mine on the bench and he can't wait! I look forward to spending many nights pounding brass with this baby and it looks up to the task. BTW: The looks of this key shout one-of-a-kind. After touch and feel, I think I was a bit low when I said it should go for around $200. I wouldn't part with this for anything.

The new Camel-Back arrived safe and sound Saturday. I would had sent an e-mail to you sooner but having too much fun using the new Camel-Back in the SKCC Weekend Sprint Event this Sunday. Also had a few longer QSO's.

I am very pleased with the Camel-Back. I'm an old hand at using a Paddle key and even bugs, but was not so good at straight keys. What a difference a good straight key makes. I'm pretty good now! My Bencher RJ-2 Straight Key is going on the shelf. (Will sell I think) The Camel Back is solid like a rock, and very easy to send smoothly, no flex at all while keying. Just solid contact. I like higher tension with minimal spacing, which is very possible with the Vizkey Camel-Back. Solid, steady keying. The Bencher RJ-2 feels like mush compared to the Vizkey Camel-back.

You have a real winner here. I will post a 5 review on e-ham.
